A business profile is what your customers see when they open a chat with you — your display name, description, and contact details — and it's also where you control how that number behaves: auto-reply, AI replies, and which chatbot flows are active. Each connected WhatsApp number can have its own profile.
What a profile controls
- Public identity — display name and the "about" text shown to customers.
- Auto-reply — an instant automatic response to inbound messages.
- AI replies — let the assistant answer when no flow matches (where enabled on your plan).
- Flow binding — chatbot flows attach to a business profile, so the right bot answers on the right number.
Create a business profile
- Open Business Profile from the navigation.
- Choose the connected number this profile belongs to.
- Fill in the display name and "about" description customers will see.
- Save. The profile is now available to attach flows, campaigns, and booking forms.
Auto-reply vs. chatbot flows
These are two different ways to respond automatically, and ReploChat keeps them mutually exclusive so they never fight each other:
| Global Auto-Reply | Chatbot Flow | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | A single "we'll get back to you" message | Interactive, branching conversations |
| Effort | One message | Built in the flow builder |
| Behaviour | Replies the same thing every time | Routes by keyword, buttons, and logic |
Profiles and your plan
The number of business profiles you can create is set by your plan's business profile limit. Managers in your workspace share the same profiles and quota — see Team & Permissions.
Frequently asked
Can two numbers share one profile? No — a profile maps to one connected number so identity and automation stay clean.
Do flows work without a profile? No. Flows attach to a business profile, so create the profile first, then build the flow.
