Greet every new chat, answer outside business hours, follow up on leads that went quiet and send yearly reminders, all without anyone watching the inbox.
Some WhatsApp messages are the same every time: the hello to a new customer, the "we're closed, back at 10" at night, the nudge to a lead who went quiet, the birthday wish. ReploChat's WhatsApp automation tool sends all of them for you, on the official WhatsApp Business API, and steps aside the moment a person on your team joins the chat.
Everything lives under Automation in four tabs: Welcome & Away, Follow-ups, Date reminders and Chatbots. The first three are on every plan; the visual chatbot builder is on Growth and Enterprise.

Welcome & Away
The welcome message is sent once, the first time a new customer writes to you. The away message goes out when someone writes outside your business hours.
Set opening and closing times for each weekday, mark days as closed, and use "Copy Monday to TueβSat" to fill the week in one click. Hours follow the timezone you choose, so a store in Karachi and a team in Dubai each get it right.
Copy these and adjust. Placeholders like {first_name} are filled in per customer.
| Use | Message |
|---|---|
| Welcome (store) | Hi {first_name}, welcome to Zara Threads! π Ask us anything about sizes, delivery or COD and we'll reply right here. |
| Welcome (clinic) | Assalam o Alaikum {first_name}, thank you for contacting City Dental. Please share your question and the best time to call you. |
| Away (night) | Thanks for your message! We're closed now and open again at 10am. Leave your question and we'll reply first thing. |
| Away (weekend) | Hi {first_name}, our team is off on Sunday. We'll get back to you Monday morning. For order tracking, just send your order number. |
Welcome and away messages support {name}, {first_name} and {phone}. In follow-up sequences, template variables are filled from the customer name, customer phone or fixed text. Date reminders can also use any contact field, including your custom fields.
Follow-ups
A follow-up sequence is a series of approved templates, each sent after a delay in minutes, hours or days. Because they are templates, they still deliver after the 24-hour window has closed.
A sequence starts in one of three ways: by hand from the inbox, when a new customer writes in, or when a label is added to the contact (for example "Quote sent"). The moment the customer replies, the sequence stops on its own, so nobody gets a "still interested?" after they have already ordered.
Date reminders
Add a date field such as "Birthday", "Anniversary" or "Renewal date" to your contacts, then create a reminder: pick the field, how many days before to send (0 means on the day), and the template. ReploChat sends it automatically every year, matching the day and month (the year in the field is ignored), for every contact that has that date filled in.
Good uses: birthday offers for salon clients, policy renewal notices for insurance agents, membership renewals for gyms, fee reminders for schools.
Guardrails
When an agent replies, automation pauses in that chat. It hands back after 30 minutes of silence from your side.
A customer who sends STOP is marked opted out and skipped by campaigns. START opts them back in.
Follow-up sequences end as soon as the customer writes back.
