A chatbot flow answers customers instantly — day or night — qualifies leads, and hands the tricky cases to a human with full context. ReploChat's visual flow builder lets you design one by connecting nodes on a canvas, no code required.
The building blocks
| Piece | What it does |
|---|---|
| Trigger | Starts the flow — a keyword, a button tap, or any first message |
| Message node | Sends text, and can offer buttons or a list menu |
| Branch | Routes the conversation based on the customer's choice or reply |
| Action | Captures details, applies a label, or sends a template |
| Handoff | Escalates to a human agent in the shared inbox |
Build your first flow
- Make sure chatbot flows are enabled on your plan, and you have a business profile to attach the flow to.
- Open Flows → Flow Builder.
- Add a trigger (e.g. the keyword "hi" or any inbound message).
- Add message nodes with buttons for the choices you want to offer (Pricing, Hours, Talk to a human).
- Connect each button to the next node to form branches.
- Add a handoff node where the bot should pass control to an agent.
- Save, then open Flow Tester to walk through it before going live.
Always offer a human exit
The best bots resolve the easy ~70% and route the rest to a person. Add a "Talk to a human" option to every menu, and a handoff for when the bot is unsure. When a flow hands off, the conversation lands in the shared inbox with the full history attached, so the agent never has to ask twice.
Auto-reply vs. flows
A profile uses either a global auto-reply or active flows, not both. Activating a flow turns off auto-reply for that profile (and vice-versa) — see Business Profiles.
Test every path in the Flow Tester before publishing. A dead-end branch is worse than no bot at all.
Frequently asked
Do I need chatbot enabled on my plan? Yes — flows are gated by the chatbot feature. If you don't see Flows, upgrade on the billing page.
Can the bot send templates? Yes, an action node can send an approved template as part of the flow.
